While I was driving through the NH 45 I saw a restaurant chain named "Arabian Garden" Sea Food Restaurant. And after a few kms went past saw another one and this time something hit my mind. I started thinking about the owner's thought process in choosing that name..
Why would have he/she chose this.. I mean why would they name it "Arabian Garden Sea Fod Restaurant". If sea food was the theme then why "Arabian Garden" as a Garden usually visualizes to a lush green outlook. If not all atleast for a commoner like me would think like that. But they have added Arabian too in the name. Again Arabian name in the food context doesn't go well for Sea food. All I would relate to Arabian food is to the middle East. Those Kebabs, Tandooris, Kubus, and red meat is what I could think of when Arabian for us referred. Not sure if this restaurant serves those as well. Even if they serve this why they chose Sea food in their name. So there is something basically wrong in this name..
Ok given the benefit that they would have meant the Arabian Sea. But even in that case it should have named "Arabian Sea Garden". Like a Garden full of fishes and crabs and lobsters etc etc..
Still..... We are located near the Bay of Bengal and naming a restaurant with Arabian Sea reference means, will it not give an impression to the customers that the restaurant is sourcing the meat from Arabian Sea. Yes practically its possible but it will not be a fresh. The transportation is not possible that quick unless they use air cargo for shipping the food. If they are still somehow using it cost wise it's feasible.
With all these factors the best option is they should change the name as "Bay Garden" Sea Food restaurant. Garden can still be removed but going with the brand they have already made name we can have it for now... Ideally it should be just Bay Sea Food Restaurant. Hope they think about it and change it soon.
Disclaimer: Nothing of the above mentioned is on a serious note. As I was driving alone these were some random thoughts that came to mind while I was crusing along...
